He is a master of bijinga (a type of ukiyo-e portraying beautiful women), which is characterized by delicate and graceful lines and pursues the beauty of women in various postures and facial expressions. His birth year, place of birth and place of birth are unknown. Utamaro devised the texture of women's skin, clothing, body and sense of weight using printing techniques such as Musashi-zuri, Shu-sen and Gomasuki. Before long, he showed his pride in the Utamaro period, when bijinga "Signature Utamaro" was painted. There are also many examples of picture books and original ukiyoe.

We reproduced Utamaro's work with digital technology and reinvented it as a vertically long wallpaper. Let's enjoy every day with Utamaro's works!
